Job summary

Connexus in Sydney is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work on building services for schools, mixed-use, pubs, clubs and leisure centres. You’ll design and deliver projects with minimal supervision and own your Revit models.

You'll collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic and structural engineers, perform lighting design in Dialux, and participate in ongoing CPD and Friday briefings. The role offers profit sharing after 12 months and a relaxed, social culture.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - To $150K + Super + Profit Share

Tired of working for a large corporate company?

Want to work for a multi-disciplinary consultancy where Friday afternoon means a bevy and a chat, shorts and t shirts are the norm and everyone shares the profit?

Based in South Sydney, but easily accessible from the West or the Inner West, this consultancy has monthly socials (think go-karts, kayaking, mini-golf, trivia nights, to barefoot bowls) and the founding Directors all remain hands on.

There are no timesheets, no office politics and every engineer gets to lead projects, and manage the fee themselves.

CPD happens every Friday afternoon as someone will present a project they've just finished, a change in legislation, or software worth knowing.

With around 50 engineers they are large enough to work on complex projects, but small enough that you won't just become a number.

People who've joined from bigger firms all say the same thing, they like the relaxed and social environment; and the focus of staff development.

Due to growth, they are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on interesting projects such as schools, mixed use developments, pubs, clubs and leisure centres and some light industrial developments.

Most of these projects are multidisciplinary, so you'll work closely with the mechanical, hydraulic and structural engineers and come away understanding how a whole building fits together.

You get autonomy early, you'll own your designs, build your own Revit models and do your lighting in DIALux.

And after twelve months, you're eligible for profit share.

In order to be considered, you just need to be a client facing, electrical building services design engineer with at least 5 years experience; and be able to design and deliver a project with minimal supervision.
