Job summary

Aurizon Network seeks an experienced asset management leader to steer the Central Queensland Coal Network's Electrical and Control Systems assets. You will develop lifecycle strategies, lead performance and risk programs, and translate condition and operational needs into long-term maintenance and renewal investments.

Reporting to the Manager Asset Strategy & Data, you will guide safety-critical assets, balance safety, reliability and whole-of-life costs, and build team capability while

Qualifications

• Strategic engineering solutions with commercial value.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of infrastructure operations, safety standards and specifications.
• Experience leading professional engineers to meet commercial, regulatory and policy obligations.
• High voltage traction infrastructure experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a specialist team, building capability and delivering high-quality asset management outcomes.
• Shape engineering standards and drive safe, cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement, evaluating emerging technologies to improve performance.
• Provide technical assurance, engineering quality and RPEQ certification under your direction.
