Job summary

Aurizon is Australia’s largest rail freight operator and a top 100 ASX company. The Manager Asset Standards and Governance will lead the design and implementation of governance frameworks across the Central Queensland Coal Network to improve asset performance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification is mandatory.
• Experience driving governance, risk or asset management transformation programs within a large, complex organisation preferred.
• RPEQ or equivalent registration is mandatory.
• Lean or Six Sigma awareness or certification preferred.
• Experience with operating models is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation and optimisation of asset governance frameworks and operating models.
• Drive continuous improvement to simplify processes, improve compliance and operational efficiency.
• Review governance, assurance and risk practices to support regulatory and business needs.
• Partner with senior leaders to embed new ways of working and strengthen governance capability across the network.
• Leverage data and assurance outcomes to improve asset performance and inform decisions.
