Job summary

SDN Milperra is seeking a Diploma-qualified Senior Educator to join our Preschool Room on a permanent part-time basis, 24 hours per week (Wed, Thu, Fri) with an immediate start. You will work with the room team to deliver high-quality, inclusive early learning programs aligned with EYLF and NQS.

Key responsibilities include building warm relationships with children and families, supporting play-based learning, and mentoring educators within a collaborative, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.
• Experience working as an Educator in an early childhood setting (Preschool experience preferred).
• Solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Ability to support and mentor educators within a team environment.
• Commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Support children's learning through play-based, child-led experiences.
• Assist with observations, documentation, and reflection on children's learning and development.
• Help create safe, engaging environments that support routines, transitions, and wellbeing.
