Job summary

North West Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Senior Educator (Identified) to lead education across multiple services in rural Queensland. You will design, deliver and evaluate contemporary education programs and mentor staff to work to their full scope of practice.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead workforce development, and contribute to culturally safe leadership pathways while delivering professional support and supervision.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status is essential (genuine occupational requirement).
• Diploma (AQF 5) or higher; Postgraduate qual or Cert IV Training and Assessment as alternative.
• If no Diploma, candidate will join learning agreement program with support to obtain required qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mentoring, supervision and leadership to strengthen workforce capability.
• Conduct learning needs analyses and competency assessments to identify priorities and training plans.
• Build partnerships with educators and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health leaders to align education with priorities.
