Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Education Support and Project Officer for the Darlington Campus, Faculty of Engineering. You will lead educational administration, manage projects, and support high-quality student experiences.

You will oversee exams, results processing, curriculum changes, and communications, while driving continuous improvements and ensuring compliance. A strong team leadership and policy interpretation will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience with learning management systems and education administration.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and time management.

Responsibilities

• oversee key semester operations, including examinations, results processing, curriculum changes and related activities
• deliver clear, high-quality communications and documentation while providing responsive, service-oriented support to academic staff, students, and key stakeholders
• enhance education processes, using feedback to drive continuous improvement
• foster strong collaboration and communication by building effective relationships across the Faculty, with central units, and among Education Support Officers to ensure a cohesive and connected approach to education services
• provide senior administrative support to academic and teaching staff, offering expert policy interpretation and procedural guidance
• coordinate and contribute to strategic initiatives and projects that advance education services across the school
• ensure compliance and integrity by delivering timely reports
• provide effective supervision, coaching and support to the Education Support team, fostering individual performance, career development and a high-performing team.
