Job summary

GHD in Australia is seeking a Senior Engineer – Earthing and Bonding to join our Design & Delivery team. Bring your specialist earthing and bonding experience to major projects across energy, transport and infrastructure, working with utilities, developers and asset owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or active progress towards it.
• Five years’ experience in earthing and bonding design, electrolysis assessment, lightning protection design, electromagnetic field studies and EMC design.
• Experience with transmission and distribution infrastructure including substations, overhead lines and underground cables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver earthing, bonding and related projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Prepare and review design drawings, technical reports, inspection and test plans and other deliverables.
• Manage design and quality of work packages; collaborate with client-side engineers during design reviews and workshops.
• Develop technical resources and provide training to build engineering capability.
• Estimate and prepare tenders and proposals for electrical scopes.
• Collaborate with colleagues across GHD offices to pursue and deliver project opportunities.
• Perform site inspections and prepare reports for proposals, design delivery and construction activities.
