Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Earthing Engineer to join the Design & Delivery Organisation’s Electrical Delivery team in Darwin. You will bring specialist earthing and bonding expertise to major Australian and global projects across energy, resources and critical infrastructure.

You will deliver earthing and bonding projects from concept to commissioning, prepare design deliverables, and collaborate with client-side engineers to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and PE status or progress.
• At least five years’ experience in earthing and bonding design across energy and resources, transportation and buildings.
• Experience designing substations, overhead lines and underground cables.

Responsibilities

• Deliver earthing, bonding and related projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Prepare and review design drawings, technical reports, inspection and test plans, and other project deliverables.
• Manage the design and quality of work packages, collaborating with client-side engineers through design reviews and workshops, technical issue resolution and progress updates to support strong engineering, commercial and client outcomes.
• Develop technical resources and provide training and mentoring to build engineering capability.
• Estimate and prepare tenders and proposals for electrical scopes of work.
• Collaborate with colleagues across GHD offices to pursue and deliver project opportunities.
• Perform site inspections and prepare reports for proposals, design delivery and construction activities.
