Job summary

Georges River Council in Sydney, NSW, seeks a Coordinator (Director) Early Learning Services to lead high-quality education and care at the South Hurstville Kindergarten. You will act as Nominated Supervisor, guiding staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving strategic and operational excellence across the service.

You will oversee budgeting, staff development and outreach to families and stakeholders, championing child safety and inclusive practices while nurturing a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Teaching or related discipline.
• Current Working with Children Check and Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Solid knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, NQF and EYLF.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an ECE setting.
• Experience managing staff performance, operations and budgets.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to child safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Early Learning Service to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Perform the role of Nominated Supervisor ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement including implementing and reviewing the Service's Quality Improvement Plan.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
• Build relationships with families, community stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Contribute to strategic and budget planning for sustainable service delivery.
• Champion child-safe practices and inclusion across the service.
