Job summary

Verbrec in Adelaide CBD is seeking a Senior E&I Designer to work with engineers and project managers from concept to delivery. You will produce electrical, instrumentation, and PLC automation drawings, including SLDs, schematics, cable schedules, plant layouts, P&IDs and related construction drawings.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, with exposure to mining and oil and gas greenfield projects.

Qualifications

Experience across electrical, instrumentation and PLC automation design.
Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drawing packages.
Knowledge of Australian Drafting Codes and Standards.
Experience in mining, oil & gas, water infrastructure or materials handling industries.
Drafting diploma or higher, preferably in electrical design.
Ability to work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Produce electrical, instrumentation, PLC automation drawings including SLDs and schematics.
Create cable schedules, plant layouts, earthing design drawings, network drawings and panel/marshalling boxes layouts.
Prepare P&ID diagrams and instrument hookup drawings.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers from concept to project delivery to drive continuous improvement.
Contribute to tenders and cost estimates with BOM consideration.
