Job summary

Woolworths Group in Sydney's Surry Hills is seeking a Senior E-Commerce Trading & Category Manager to lead the customer journey and performance of all changes across our marketplace. This is a scaling marketplace role with a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office).

You will partner with Marketing, Brand, UX and Product to optimise online merchandising, pricing, promotions and catalog experiences for food and everyday needs across the online channel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital eCommerce or related field across FMCG, Grocery, or Food & Beverage.
• Proven promotional calendar mastery and online revenue growth.
• Strong analytical and commercial rigor with retail math, margins, and baskets.
• Fluent with CMS, PIM and analytics tools to optimise journeys.

Responsibilities

• Plan seasonal digital trade calendar to align ranging, pricing and messaging with key spikes.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Brand to target shopping moments from Prime Day to seasonal surges.
• Adapt trade plans quickly to weather events, viral trends or shifts in buying behaviour.
• Develop counter-strategies against marketplace giants and discounters to protect market share.
• Identify gaps and launch online-only promotions and exclusive digital ranges.
• Optimise digital merchandising with dynamic pricing, bundles and multi-buys.
• Leverage platform capabilities like personalised landing pages and banners for impact.
• Partner with UX and Product using GA4 and heatmaps to drive high-converting journeys.
