Job summary

Blackroc Recruitment is seeking an experienced Drupal Developer for a 12-month contract with a further extension opportunity. The role blends hands-on Drupal development with modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted tooling to improve delivery speed, testing and code quality.

You will work across frontend and backend Drupal components, build themes, views and content types, and collaborate with designers, analysts and cloud engineers in an AWS environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years of Drupal website development experience including frontend and backend, configuration, themes, views, content types, search, taxonomy and testing.
• Strong technical skills across PHP, MySQL, HTML, Linux and NGINX.
• Proficiency in CSS and preprocessors such as Sass or LESS.
• Advanced JavaScript skills, including experience with frameworks or libraries such as jQuery.
• Experience developing and supporting Drupal applications in AWS environments.
• Understanding of UX principles, the Australian Government Digital Service Standard and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and maintain Drupal websites and applications across frontend and backend environments.
• Build and enhance Drupal themes, content types, views, search functionality and taxonomy structures.
• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using PHP, Twig, JavaScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS.
• Collaborate with designers, business analysts, architects and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and maintain Drupal websites and applications across frontend and backend environments.

To be considered, you will demonstrate:

Contract Details

• Contract: 12 months, with a further 12-month extension option.
