Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Drupal Developer for a long-term contract spanning across multiple Australian states with hybrid work options. The role focuses on Drupal development across backend and frontend, involving themes, views, content types, and accessibility aligned with government standards.

Requirements include 3+ years in Drupal development, strong HTML, PHP, MySQL, Linux, NGINX, CSS with Sass/LESS, and JavaScript (jQuery).

Qualifications

• Three+ years of Drupal website development experience, including backend and frontend, site configuration, themes, views, content types, search configuration, taxonomy and testing.
• Proficient in HTML, UX, PHP, MySQL, Linux and NGINX.
• Knowledge of Australian Government Digital Service Standards and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements.
• Strong CSS skills with Sass or LESS.
• Advanced JavaScript with jQuery.
• Experience in AWS-hosted Drupal applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain and enhance Drupal-based websites and digital applications.
• Handle backend and frontend Drupal development, including themes, content types, views, taxonomy, search configuration and custom features.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with analysts, UX designers, architects, product teams and project leads.
• Build accessible, secure, responsive, maintainable web apps aligned with government standards.
• Create reusable components, design systems and shared frontend capabilities.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot and deploy code collaboratively.
• Support Drupal applications hosted in AWS.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation while ensuring quality and security.
