Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking multiple Drupal Developers to design, develop and maintain Drupal websites, applications and digital services for Australian Government projects in a hybrid setup. You will apply Drupal, PHP and web development expertise to deliver secure, accessible solutions that meet WCAG 2.2 AA, GovCMS, and government security standards.

Contract duration is 12 months with possible extensions; ACT-based candidates may be onsite in Canberra three days per week while interstate staff

Qualifications

• Experience developing, customizing, and supporting Drupal websites.
• Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and REST APIs skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities; experience in Agile teams.
• Baseline security clearance or ability to obtain.

Multiple Drupal Developers

Work on the design, development and maintenance of Drupal websites, applications and digital services in an Australian Government environment. Apply your Drupal, PHP and web development expertise to deliver secure, accessible digital solutions, with hybrid working arrangements and a 12-month contract offering potential extensions.

Location

QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW

Work Arrangement

Hybrid – ACT-based candidates may be required onsite in Canberra three days per week and/or as required. Interstate candidates may be required to attend a state office or regional hub and travel to Canberra as required. Individual arrangements may be negotiated.

12 months, with possible 2 x 12-month extensions

Essential Tasks

• Design, develop, configure and maintain Drupal-based websites, applications and digital services, including content types, views, workflows and permissions.
• Develop clean, scalable code and collaborate with stakeholders, UX designers and technical teams to deliver reliable digital solutions.
• Perform Drupal core and module upgrades, security patching, vulnerability remediation and application troubleshooting.
• Deliver accessible solutions compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, GovCMS and Australian Government security and digital service standards.

Key Criteria

• Demonstrated experience developing, customising, supporting and troubleshooting Drupal websites and applications.
• Strong development skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs and version control.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with experience collaborating in Agile delivery teams.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Drupal security, secure coding practices, web application security and DevOps or CI/CD methodologies.
