Job summary

UGL is seeking a Senior Electrical Draftsperson for office-based work, leading drafting delivery across major energy projects. You will produce high-quality electrical drawings and support engineering teams to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and delivered on time.

You will mentor junior drafters, review drawings for quality, and contribute to project success while coordinating with engineers and project teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in electrical drafting for energy or infrastructure.
Experience on power industry projects (substations, renewables, grid connections).
Strong knowledge of construction documentation and detailing practices.
Ability to work independently and deliver drafting on deadlines.
Experience mentoring junior team members and reviewing drawings.
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Senior Electrical Draftsperson is an office-based role where you'll lead drafting delivery across major energy projects, producing high-quality electrical drawings and supporting engineering teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring designs are accurate, buildable, and delivered on time while mentoring junior drafters and contributing to project success.

Your duties and responsibilities :

Prepare and deliver electrical drawings and documentation to project standards
Ensure designs are accurate, compliant, and suitable for construction
Coordinate with engineers and project teams to meet deadlines
Review and check drawings for quality and technical accuracy
Mentor junior drafters and support team capability uplift
Assist with material take-offs, tenders, and design support activities

Your skills and experience:

Extensive experience in electrical drafting, ideally within energy or infrastructure
