Job summary

Tank Vision seeks a Senior Drafter to convert engineering concepts into fabrication-ready drawings across the full project lifecycle. You will oversee drawings from general arrangements to detailed manufacturing data, balancing priorities under tight timelines while upholding quality.

Key requirements include 5+ years in tanks/silo/platform drafting, expert SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills, and strong communication for cross-functional collaboration with engineers, managers, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the design and drafting of tanks, silos, platforms, and structural steelwork.
• Advanced, expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Deep practical understanding of structural drafting and sheet metal component limitations to guarantee designs are buildable.
• Preferred knowledge of Australian Standards including AS1657, AS1210, AS2304, AS4100, and AS4600.
• A self-motivated operator who thrives under pressure, works autonomously, and balances short lead times with detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise with engineers, project managers, and factory personnel.
• A valid, current Australian driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage drawings, plans, and designs for tanks, silos, platforms, and structural steelwork.
• Create and modify complex assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Produce fabrication-ready general assembly drawings and BOMs.
• Check drawings and maintain revision controls for quality.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards AS1657/AS1210/AS2304/AS4100/AS4600.
• Collaborate with drafters, project managers, and production team to resolve queries.
