Job summary

CSA Recruitment is seeking a Senior HVAC Drafter for a Tier 1 mechanical contractor in Melbourne. The role focuses on producing detailed shop drawings, coordinating with the drafting team and suppliers, and delivering projects on time with high-quality documentation.

You will need strong experience in Revit MEP and Navisworks, be comfortable coordinating with subcontractors and site forepersons, and contribute to value engineering where possible. Only Australian residents may apply.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of Revit MEP & Navisworks.
• Able to communicate at all levels, with personnel both within and external to the company.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Services detailed draftsperson & coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Project drafting
• Work within a drafting team
• Produce detailed shop drawings within project time constraints
• Value manage projects where possible (reduce duct sizes, shorten duct runs, etc.)
• Produce schedules (grilles, dampers, etc.)
• Attend project coordination meetings as required
• Liaise with Suppliers & Sub-Contractor where required to produce shop drawings
• Liaise with site forepersons as required
• Notify project managers of variations to project documents
• Coordinate other services where required
• Ability to produce good quality detailed shop drawings
• Able to Coordinate subcontractor's services
• Play a key role in contractor/subcontractor coordination meetings
• Ensure client satisfaction
• Maintain peer-to-peer relationships with co-workers
• Good communication and relationship with the Site Foreman & all department heads
• Delivery of projects on time

The Role

• Project drafting
• Work within a drafting team
