Job summary

Exclaim IT is seeking experienced .NET Developers to join a project team delivering enhancements and modernisation across critical enterprise applications in Canberra. A mandatory NV1 security clearance is required before commencement.

You will contribute to the full SDLC, developing C#-based enterprise apps and automated deployment scripts, with backend work using Web API and SQL. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to Agile practices.

Qualifications

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), developing and enhancing C#-based, n-tier enterprise applications and associated documentation.
• Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using .NET Framework, modern .NET and the broader Microsoft technology stack.
• Develop backend solutions using Web API and SQL technologies.
• Follow Agile software development methodologies using tools including Azure DevOps.
• Develop well-designed, documented and testable code, including participating in peer reviews.
• Liaise with technical and business stakeholders to facilitate the rapid resolution of production issues and faults.
• Analyse complex technical issues and contribute to business improvement and change initiatives.
• Support stakeholder engagement across geographically dispersed teams.
• Provide specialist technical advice, guidance and reporting.
• Apply sound judgement and technical expertise when making and communicating decisions.
• Contribute to preparation and delivery activities within established readiness frameworks.
• Support continuous improvement, application modernisation and technology uplift initiatives.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the relevant Director, Team Leader or delegate.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps and Miro or similar project collaboration tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience or the ability to quickly develop knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
• Experience working with cloud-based technologies.
• Experience in technical analysis and solution design.
• Experience implementing integration requirements and developing end-to-end solution designs.
