Job summary

BlackLine seeks a Senior Director, Professional Services APJ to lead and build the regional PS organization from the ground up. You will own the client journey from onboarding to ongoing services engagements, with P&L responsibility and a focus on scalable delivery across multi-workstream projects.

You will recruit and develop the team, shape delivery methodologies, and partner with Sales and the partner ecosystem to expand BlackLine's services portfolio across APJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of management experience with staff and P&L responsibility in a SaaS or enterprise software company.
• Proven track record of building and scaling a regional professional services practice.
• Experience leading distributed teams across APAC.
• Background in ERP/financial systems implementations.
• Strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Hands-on, collaborative leadership style.

The Director, Professional Services is responsible for the management and execution of Blackline's customer implementation strategy throughout the As Senior Director, Professional Services APJ, you'll lead and build BlackLine's regional Professional Services organization from the ground up. This is a true build-and-scale role: you'll shape how we deliver services across APJ, owning the full client journey — from onboarding and implementation through ongoing services engagements across our product suite. With P&L responsibility for the region, you'll drive the financial and operational goals that fuel our growth, while developing the strategy, systems, and team that make it all work.

You'll Get To

• Lead and grow the APJ Professional Services team — including hiring, development, and performance management — as you build out an emerging regional practice;
• Own the P&L for APJ Professional Services, driving utilization, time-to-value, customer satisfaction, and revenue/expense targets against quarterly and annual goals;
• Build scalable delivery models that let your team run efficient, straightforward implementations while confidently handling large, complex deployments;
• Serve as the senior escalation point for project issues in the region, shaping recovery plans and keeping engagements on track;
• Partner with Sales to shape, position, and expand BlackLine's services portfolio and go-to-market approach;
• Work with our Partner ecosystem to build scalable, high-quality service offerings aligned with our delivery methodology;
• Collaborate with Professional Services leaders across EMEA and North America to help shape global practice standards and drive consistency for clients worldwide.
  

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience;
• 10+ years of management experience — including staff and budget/P&L responsibility — in a services delivery function at a SaaS or enterprise software company;
• A proven track record of building and profitably scaling a regional professional services practice, including hiring, developing, and retaining top talent against ambitious growth targets;
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple APAC countries and time zones, with working knowledge of regional business practices and regulatory considerations;
• Background in ERP and/or financial systems implementations.
• A strong track record managing complex, multi-workstream projects — from scoping and SOW development through go-live — while balancing competing priorities and deadlines;
• Skilled at building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives, with the communication and negotiation range to tailor your approach to the audience;
• A hands-on, collaborative leadership style — equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves with your team through organizational change.
