Job summary

CSIRO’s Australian e-Health Research Centre is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to provide technical leadership in national digital health interoperability. You will shape HL7 FHIR standards, implementation guides and artefacts, translating clinical, policy and technical requirements into scalable, standards-based solutions across Australia’s healthcare system.

Qualifications

• A relevant bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or software engineering.
• Proven experience leading the architecture and design of complex software systems across diverse environments.
• Strong HL7 FHIR expertise and health informatics knowledge.
• Experience designing secure, scalable APIs and system integration solutions.
• Ability to translate clinical, policy and technical requirements into practical standards-based architectures.
• Excellent communication across multidisciplinary teams, governments, industry and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set architectural direction for HL7 FHIR standards and interoperability initiatives.
• Lead design, authoring and stewardship of HL7 AU FHIR standards and implementation guides.
• Translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
• Provide authoritative technical advice to healthcare organisations and standards communities.
• Lead and undertake design, documentation and maintenance of standards-based artefacts.
• Collaborate with government, industry and clinical stakeholders to build consensus.
