Actalent is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer III for Digital High-Speed Design & Board Bring-Up in Redmond, WA. You will own the full lifecycle of high-speed digital board design from schematic capture to lab bring-up and manufacturing readiness, collaborating across firmware, software, and layout teams.

The role focuses on complex PCB design, SI analysis, and hands-on verification. A BSEE is required, with experience in Xpedition tooling and lab test setups.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on digital hardware development and ownership of complex digital board designs from schematic through bring-up.
• Strong understanding of high-speed digital design fundamentals, including SI and timing.
• Experience with high-speed memory and/or high-speed serial interfaces in board-level designs.
• Proficiency with industry-standard schematic capture and PCB EDM tools; Siemens Xpedition tool chain strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design complex multi-layer digital PCBs, including schematic capture and component selection.
• Define and constrain high-speed digital interfaces with pin planning and constraints.
• Own the digital subsystem architecture for clocks, resets, boot and GPIO.
• Perform pre-layout and post-layout SI analysis and translate results into routing rules and layout guidance.
• Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to route dense, high-pin-count devices to meet high-speed requirements.
• Lead digital board bring-up, power-on procedures, clock initialization, and interface configuration.
• Debug hardware in lab using high-speed instrumentation and structured debugging methods.
• Develop and execute functional and interface test plans across operating conditions; document results and drive root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to manufacturability and testability with bring-up procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with firmware/software teams during embedded processor and SoC bring-up for robust integration.
• Support power management design and verification as part of digital hardware development.
