Job summary

Datacom is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer to join a high‑performance operations team. The focus is on building scalable, highly available, and maintainable customer-facing systems with modern automation and IaC practices.

You will work within an Agile team, collaborating with technical SMEs and leveraging Datacom’s global specialist network. Hybrid work arrangements allowed across Australian offices; Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance eligibility are

Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and full stack automation including CI/CD.
• Ability to research, develop, and promote platform-agnostic technology solutions that automate manual processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain operational excellence with automation across multiple technologies.
• OS deployment, configuration, and security hardening.
• Install and configure application middleware platforms.
• Deploy to VMware and VMware Cloud on AWS.
• Code deployment and platform lifecycle management.
• Reporting for audit and compliance requirements.
• Ensure high availability through reliable change and release processes.
• Engage with customers through technical collaboration and solution design.
