Job summary

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) invites applications for an EL1 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire). You will lead design, development and support of the Agency’s Cloud & Data Infrastructure, coordinating with stakeholders and a local full-stack team to drive key initiatives.

Role requires high autonomy, expert problem-solving, and effective liaison with senior leadership. You’ll advocate for best practices, documentation, and agile delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure infrastructure and services, with proven ability to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions.
• Strong experience in building and deploying DevOps practices and pipelines, including GitLab, Artifactory, and Jira, to streamline workflows.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) for automating provisioning and management.
• Proficiency with Git and agile development to support collaborative, iterative work.
• Ability to write and maintain code in Python, JavaScript, or Golang.
• Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support the Agency’s Cloud & Data Infrastructure.
• Prioritise and manage the work queue to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
• Ensure all solutions follow integration best practices and are well documented.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead project teams in an agile development environment.
• Engage with stakeholders to define requirements, set priorities, and deliver results.
