Job summary

The NDIA seeks an EL1 DevOps Engineer (Labour Hire) to lead complex initiatives, shape technical strategy, and provide high-level guidance to senior leadership. You will work with the local full-stack team and key stakeholders to drive delivery of cloud and data infrastructure.

Responsibilities include managing priorities, adhering to integration best practices, and representing the agency in forums. The role requires strong DevOps, cloud, IaC, and containerization expertise.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure infrastructure.
• Experience building CD pipelines with GitLab, Artifactory and Jira.
• Expertise with Terraform for IaC.
• Strong Git and agile development understanding.
• Proficiency coding in Python, JavaScript or Golang.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, deployment, and support of the Agency’s Cloud & Data Infrastructure.
• Prioritising and managing the work queue to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
• Ensuring that all solutions adhere to integration best practices and are well documented.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• Playing a key leadership role in project teams, utilising an agile development framework.
• Engaging with stakeholders to define project requirements, set priorities, and deliver results.
