Job summary

Capstone Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to drive an end-to-end delivery of a master planned community in Melbourne's growth corridor. You will lead planning, infrastructure delivery and stakeholder engagement to shape a community where people can thrive.

You will coordinate across planning, civil works and settlement, manage budgets and risk, and influence long term strategic direction with local authorities and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in land development or master planned community development.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to help lead the delivery of a master planned community in Melbourne's growth corridor.

This is a pivotal, hands on role with the opportunity to shape a community from its earliest stages, working across planning, infrastructure, commercial delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key part in bringing together thoughtful planning, quality infrastructure and a genuine sense of place, helping to create a community where people can truly thrive.

About the role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the end to end delivery of a significant residential greenfield development, including:

• Leading planning and infrastructure delivery across all stages of the project
• Managing commercial outcomes, budgets and project feasibility
• Overseeing consultants, contractors and delivery partners
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local council, government authorities and community stakeholders
• Contributing to the strategic direction and long term vision for the community

About you

You will bring proven experience in land development or master planned community development, exposure to built form is desirable but not essential.

You will also bring:

• A strong understanding of the residential development lifecycle, from planning through to civil works and settlement
• Demonstrated experience managing external consultants and stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and project risk
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on delivery
• The ability to work in a fast paced nimble environment and leverage your skills and networks to deliver outcomes.
