Job summary

AlayaCare is seeking a Senior Developer - Customer Experience in Melbourne. You will solve complex customer and product problems, build tooling, and coach specialists while collaborating with Support, Product and Engineering to improve service outcomes.

This hands‑on role focuses on technical direction, security, performance, and continuous delivery. The stack includes Python, PHP, Vue.js, and AWS, with a 2/3 in-office/remote hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive development with Python and unit testing using PyTest.
• Solid experience with PHP and JavaScript (Vue) and their testing frameworks.
• Experience using SQL databases, Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, SQLAlchemy, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug complex software as part of the Sirens team.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for product issues including root-cause analysis.
• Resolve defects and deliver enhancements from escalations within Engineering standards.
• Coach and mentor Customer Experience Specialists to build their technical capability.
• Identify and develop automations and tools to reduce manual work.
