Job summary

AlayaCare is seeking a Senior Developer - Customer Experience in Melbourne. You will join the Sirens escalation engineering team to investigate, diagnose, and improve product issues while building tooling and automation to support the Support team.

The role blends hands-on software engineering with technical leadership and cross‑functional collaboration. You will work closely with Support, Product and Engineering to reduce customer effort, deliver sustainable improvements, and drive CSAT and NPS

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development and unit testing with PyTest.
• Experience with SQL databases, Git, CI/CD, Docker, SQLAlchemy and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices and rapid pace learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug complex software as part of the Sirens team.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for product issues, including investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Resolve defects and deliver enhancements from escalations in line with engineering standards.
• Act as technical lead for Customer Experience Specialists and mentor them.
