Job summary

AlayaCare is seeking a Senior Developer – Customer Experience in Melbourne to join the Sirens team. You will solve complex customer and product problems, build tooling to assist the Support team, and mentor Customer Experience Specialists.

The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership in a hybrid work model (2 days in office, 3 days WFH) and includes stock options and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development and PyTest experience.
• Solid PHP and JavaScript (Vue) development with unit tests.
• Experience with SQL, Git, CI/CD, Docker, AWS, and SQLAlchemy.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug complex software as part of the Sirens team.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for product issues with root-cause analysis.
• Resolve defects and deliver enhancements from escalations per engineering standards.
• Coach Customer Experience Specialists to improve technical capability.
• Develop automations and tooling to reduce manual work and speed resolutions.
• Monitor production applications and proactively address issues.
• Plan, implement, and execute automated tests to ensure quality.
• Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing within Sirens.
