Senior Developer - Business Applications & AI

At Perfection Fresh, we grow, pack, market and distribute fresh produce across Australia and internationally. While most people know us for what comes out of the ground, a huge amount of what we do relies on the technology that sits behind the scenes.

We're looking for a senior developer who wants more than just another development job.

This role sits at the centre of the systems that keep our business running. From operations and warehousing through to sales, finance and supply chain, the applications and integrations you support are relied upon every day across the organisation. The role is responsible for designing, developing and supporting these solutions across our Microsoft technology environment.

The reality is that we need someone who can take ownership.

Someone who enjoys understanding how a business works, can get to the bottom of complex technical problems, and takes pride in building solutions that are reliable, scalable and well thought out

The Role

You'll work across a mix of new development, enhancement of existing systems and support of critical business applications.

The role includes:

• Developing and maintaining full-stack business applications using C#, .NET, SQL and modern front-end technologies
• Designing, building and supporting APIs, EDI connections and system integrations between internal platforms, customers and external partners
• Supporting business-critical ERP and operational systems that underpin daily operations
• Maintaining and improving existing legacy applications while contributing to future technology and vendor selection decisions
• Supporting and optimising integrations that connect retail customer orders through to warehouse and fulfilment systems
• Working directly with operational teams to understand business requirements and translate them into practical solutions
• Troubleshooting complex application and integration issues and implementing sustainable long-term improvements
• Leveraging AI-assisted development tools and introducing practical AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency and business outcomes
• Supporting integration platform technologies, preferably Boomi or other iPaaS solutions
• Participating in architecture discussions and technology roadmaps across the business
• Mentoring developers and sharing technical knowledge across the team

About you

We're not looking for someone who simply writes code.

We're looking for someone who understands that every system has real people and real business outcomes behind it.

You will likely have:

• 10+ years' experience in software development and business application support
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET and SQL Server
• Full-stack development experience, including modern front-end frameworks and web application development
• Experience designing, developing and supporting APIs, EDI solutions and enterprise integrations
• Exposure to iPaaS platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services or similar technologies
• Experience supporting ERP systems and enterprise business applications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Azure, SharePoint and the broader Microsoft ecosystem
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach and a willingness to take ownership of outcomes
