The role focuses on leading the design management function across a range of projects, coordinating with delivery teams, consultants, and clients to drive approvals and manage design risk.

The incumbent will ensure compliance with project requirements, absorb information quickly, hold stakeholders accountable, and maintain high delivery

Qualifications

• Experience with TfNSW specifications and GC21 contracts.
• Experience managing design consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ability to lead across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and value-add mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management function across civil infrastructure projects (roads/bridges, renewables, defence).
• Drive approvals and manage design risk to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and identify opportunities to add value in the design process.
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams, external consultants, and client stakeholders.
