Job summary

nbn co is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for Fixed Wireless Networks in Melbourne. You will design, validate and deploy Fixed Wireless network capabilities to support nationwide connectivity, working across access, backhaul and core domains.

You will act as SME for routing and switching within the Wireless network, and contribute to end-to-end design and testing activities, mentoring others and driving collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in carrier-grade telecommunications networks.
• Experience with EVPN, BGP, MPLS, QoS and OSPF to design scalable networks.
• Proven delivery of fixed wireless deployments and migrations.
• Able to design, validate and integrate end-to-end network solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate Fixed Wireless network capabilities for access, backhaul and core domains.
• Lead implementation and testing activities in collaboration with teams.
• Develop high-quality engineering designs, configurations and deliverables.
• Contribute to PI planning, daily stand-ups and demonstrations.
• Mentor team members and promote cross-skilling within the group.
