Job summary

Oval Dental on O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, is seeking a senior dental assistant to join our friendly general practice. You will support chairside work across general, restorative, crown and bridge, implants, endodontics and oral surgery, while helping maintain high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or four years' chairside experience.
• Experience with implants, endodontics, oral surgery and crown & bridge.
• Strong infection control to Australian Standards AS 5369.
• High attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to manage own time and priorities, self-directed.
• Willing to assist on reception and with admin work.
• Full Australian working rights, no hour restrictions.
• Reliable transport for early starts.
• Willing to provide immunisation evidence before starting.
• Advantage: Certificate IV in Dental Assisting, D4W experience, radiography licence, and reception exposure.

About you

A Certificate III in Dental Assisting, or at least four years' chairside experience working to Australian infection control standards

Confidence with implants, endodontics, oral surgery, and crown and bridge

Strong sterilisation and infection control skills to Australian Standards (AS 5369)

A high level of attention to detail

Well organised and self-directed, able to manage your own time and priorities

A self-starter who keeps learning

Happy to help on reception and with administrative work when needed

Full Australian working rights, with no restrictions on hours

Reliable transport for early starts

Willing to provide evidence of healthcare worker immunisations before starting

A Certificate IV in Dental Assisting, experience training other dental assistants, Dental4Windows (D4W), a radiography licence, and reception experience are all an advantage.

$35 to $38 per hour plus super, depending on experience, with a pay review after three months

Consistent 32.25 hours a week, all year
