Job summary

Smartgroup in Australia is seeking an experienced Database Analyst to optimise critical data platforms and support enterprise data initiatives. You will manage database environments, improve performance, and contribute to cloud transformation within the Infrastructure team.

Key responsibilities include data feeds management, SQL Server administration, and automation. Collaboration with vendors and stakeholders is required to ensure high availability and secure access.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Database Administration or a similar role.
• Strong T-SQL and SQL Server administration skills.
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions, especially Azure.
• Knowledge of Power BI and data integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage internal/external data feeds for reliable data availability.
• Administer and maintain database platforms and schemas for secure access.
• Provide performance tuning, automation, scripting, and best practices.
• Plan upgrades and enhancements to improve service continuity.
• Develop implementation plans and testing procedures for reliability.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to reduce downtime.
