Randstad seeks a Senior Database Administrator to safeguard and evolve an enterprise SQL Server estate across on-premises and hybrid cloud platforms. You will optimize, secure and future-proof thousands of mission-critical instances using telemetry, AI operations, and automation to reduce operational toil.

You will implement Always-On availability, WSFC, and cloud migrations to Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance and AWS RDS for SQL Server, while applying AI-assisted tuning and Power BI

Formación

• Extensive SQL Server administration across 2016+ platforms.
• Experience with Always-On Availability Groups and WSFC.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and T-SQL automation.

Responsabilidades

• Platform Reliability & Governance: Maintain and optimize mission-critical SQL Server 2016+ environments, ensuring resilient high-availability setups using Always-On Availability Groups and WSFC.
• AIOps & Predictive Analytics: Apply AI-assisted query optimization, anomaly detection, and log correlation alongside Power BI trend reporting to forecast capacity and preempt performance bottlenecks.
• DevOps Automation: Write robust T-SQL and PowerShell automation scripts to handle unattended database provisioning, regular patching cycles, and maintenance routines.
• Cloud Architecture & Migration: Support cloud DBMS adoption across Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and AWS RDS for SQL Server.
• Incident Support & Security: Maintain least-privilege security controls, encryption, and auditing standards in compliance with banking regulations, participating in an on-call roster for major incident resolution.

About the Role

As a Senior Database administrator, your core mission will be to optimize, secure, and future-proof thousands of mission-critical SQL Server instances across on-premises and hybrid cloud platforms. You will combine deep database internals expertise with modern AIOps practices, utilizing telemetry, predictive modeling, and automation to streamline database management, enhance resilience, and eliminate operational toil.
