Job summary

Zip Co Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior Data Scientist I to turn ideas into scalable ML and agentic AI solutions. You will work within the Customer Data Science team to advance production-ready models that power smarter decisions for customers.

You will collaborate with Data, Product and Engineering teams across Sydney, own end-to-end model development, and translate complex insights into clear recommendations while embracing Zip's values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Data Science with a track record of delivering impactful ML and AI solutions.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills, with strong knowledge of statistical modelling, experimentation and modern data platforms.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production ready ML models and agentic AI solutions, including LLMs.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex insights into clear recommendations.
• A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of machine learning and agentic AI solutions that deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Turn complex problems into practical solutions through advanced analytics, experimentation and statistical modelling.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and business teams to bring AI innovation to life, while sharing your expertise to help others grow.
