Job summary

AI Talent is seeking a curious and analytically driven Data Scientist in Sydney to transform large datasets into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. You will work at the intersection of maths, statistics, programming and business intelligence to build and deploy ML/AI frameworks that automate and predict across business functions.

The role demands strong communication, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to translate data findings into clear recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a data science or advanced analytics role with a portfolio.
• Proficiency in Python or R, with data manipulation libraries (pandas, NumPy) and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Responsibilities

• Collect and clean large datasets, resolve data quality issues to maintain analytical integrity.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Design, build, and deploy ML/AI frameworks for automation, prediction, and pattern recognition.
• Develop and refine statistical models to forecast outcomes and generate insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into data science problems.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
• Contribute to the data science roadmap and opportunities for innovation.
• Maintain and document data pipelines and modelling processes for reproducibility.
• Monitor deployed models and update as needed to maintain accuracy.
• Support data governance and compliance with data privacy policies.
