Cognizant in Sydney is seeking a Test Manager to define the overall test strategy and governance for ETL and data platform programs. You will lead a broad testing effort across complex data pipelines and environments, working with data engineering, architecture, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality releases.

The role requires leadership of distributed testing teams, strong planning and reporting skills, and hands-on expertise in SQL-based validation, data quality, and automation

Competenze

• Extensive QA leadership in ETL, data warehouse, data lake, or analytics testing.
• Ownership of testing for complex multi-system data programs from planning through release.
• Experience managing third-party partners and senior stakeholder expectations.

Mansioni

• Define and implement the overall test strategy, test plan, governance model, and quality standards.
• Lead functional, integration, regression, system, performance, and UAT testing across data lifecycle.
• Manage test estimation, resource planning, scheduling, execution, defect management, andRelease-readiness assessments.
• Ensure source-to-target validation, transformation-rule verification, data completeness, accuracy, integrity, lineage, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate testing across Redshift, Fivetran, Databricks, dbt, SAS, and Oracle.
• Partner with data engineering, architecture, product, business, operations, and release teams.
• Establish traceability between requirements, data mappings, test scenarios, defects, and outcomes.
• Drive test automation and reusable validation frameworks for pipelines and data-quality controls.
• Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, and risk escalation with stakeholders.
• Provide clear quality dashboards and executive-level release progress reporting.
• Coach test leads and engineers, promoting engineering best practices.
