Job summary

Bankwest is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to help shape a modern data platform with hands-on technical leadership. You’ll build trusted data products using Snowflake, dbt and AWS, unlocking meaningful business outcomes.

You will design, build and operate scalable data pipelines, mentor engineers and work with product, analytics and data science teams to translate high-value use cases into pragmatic technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating on-premises platforms to cloud environments.
• Strong SQL, data modelling and data quality practices.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS and dbt in a modern data platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable data pipelines and reusable data products across distributed data platforms.
• Take end-to-end ownership of data assets in production, including testing and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and influence platform standards, roadmaps and direction.
• Collaborate with product, analytics and data science teams on high-value use cases.
