Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking a Senior Data Governance Officer for the NSW Telco Authority, based in Sydney CBD. You will drive governance maturity, strengthen information asset management and establish metadata standards to support compliance with NSW Government information management, privacy, classification and security obligations.

You will collaborate with Data Owners, Custodians and Stewards, develop governance policies and operating models, and lead assurance activities across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance and information management within complex government or large enterprises.
• Proven ability to establish metadata standards, glossaries and stewardship models.
• Knowledge of NSW Government information classification requirements and PSPF.
• Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead uplift and governance of the Enterprise Information Asset Register and Critical Data Asset Register.
• Support implementation of the Enterprise Metadata Catalogue and promote business adoption.
• Establish metadata standards, glossaries and information asset management practices.
• Collaborate with privacy, records management, cyber security and business stakeholders to meet obligations.
• Coordinate governance assurance activities including attestations, compliance reporting and maturity assessments.
