Job summary

TRC Group in Australia is hiring a Senior Data Engineer / 2IC to join a global financial organisation undergoing a Microsoft Fabric migration and a broader Data & AI transformation. You will work closely with the Head of Data & AI, delivering hands-on engineering and shaping platform design, standards and data practices.

This role offers strong ownership, exposure to cutting-edge technologies, mentoring across the engineering function and the chance to influence how data is structured, governed

Qualifications

• AdvancedSQL, data modelling and ETL/ELT experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms beneficial.
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage and metadata.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the Microsoft Fabric migration.
• Design and build scalable data solutions across the modern data platform.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns and quality practices.
• Work across data modelling, ETL/ELT, transformation and integration.
• Help shape how data is structured, governed and made available for analytics and AI.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring across the wider engineering capability.
