Job summary

Vivanti is seeking a Senior / Principal Data Engineer to lead design and delivery of enterprise-grade data platforms on Google Cloud. You’ll architect pipelines, governance, and scalable data lakes and mentor peers across global client projects.

You’ll work with Python, Java, Scala and SQL, plus BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow and dbt to drive real-time and batch analytics. The role offers learning, certifications and team engagement in Australia.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, Java, Scala and SQL for data engineering tasks.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native data services and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise enterprise-grade data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load massive datasets.
• Architect scalable data lakes and modern data warehouses tailored for high-performance analytics.
• Lead the technical delivery of complex GCP migrations and cloud-native data solutions for global brands.
• Ensure data systems are highly secure, reliable, cost-effective, and align with governance standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, ML engineers, and platform teams while mentoring juniors.
