Job summary

Vivanti Consulting in Canberra is seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize data pipelines for public sector engagements. You’ll work with Python, Spark and SQL on modern data platforms, collaborating with analysts and ML engineers.

This role offers mentoring, paid certs, regular training, and opportunities to work with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP. Australian citizenship and eligibility for Australian Government security clearance are required.

What you might work on:

As a Data Engineer you’re the builder - making sure data flows cleanly and reliably.

You might work on:

• Design and build pipelines to ingest, transform and load data
• Set up data lakes and warehouses for scalable access
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable and cost-effective
• Collaborate with analysts, ML engineers and platform teams

You might work with:

• Graph Tech: Neo4j or similar graph database platforms.
• Core Engineering: Advanced Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Modern Data Stack: Fabric, Databricks, and cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Innovation: AI and Machine Learning frameworks for data transformation.

Note:

Due to the nature of our government projects, you must be an Australian Citizen eligible to get an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, or NV2) from AGSVA or the AFP.
