Job summary

Novon, a specialist Data and Engineering consulting company, seeks an experienced Data Engineer in NSW to design, build and deliver modern data platforms. You will develop reliable data pipelines using Python and SQL, and work with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Spark and Kafka across AWS or Azure environments.

Qualifications

• At least six years of commercial Data Engineering experience.
• Strong development experience using Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, including Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience developing transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Experience designing and managing data workflows using Airflow or similar tools.
• Strong experience with distributed data processing using Spark or PySpark.
• Experience building streaming solutions using Kafka.
• Understanding of ETL and ELT design patterns.
• Experience with data modelling, data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
