Novon, a Sydney-based data and engineering consulting firm, seeks Senior Cloud Platform Engineers (AWS) to design and run an enterprise data platform for a major financial services client. You will implement serverless AWS architectures, IAM/security, and observability principles.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating AWS platforms for modern data platforms.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform in AWS environments.

• Solid knowledge of secure, governed deployment in financial services contexts.

• Design, build and operate the AWS platform supporting the client’s Enterprise Data Platform.

With close to 100 Consultants and more than 10 years delivering successful data projects for our customers, our teams work on complex and diverse projects with organisations ranging from the largest local enterprises to SMEs and start-ups across multiple industries.

We are currently seeking multiple experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineers (AWS) to join our growing Data Practice and support a major data transformation program within a leading financial services organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate the AWS platform supporting our client's modern Enterprise Data Platform.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across AWS serverless environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments.
• Implement secure, repeatable deployment processes that align with banking governance and compliance requirements.
• Support Kubernetes-based platform components where required while focusing primarily on AWS cloud services.
• Build reusable platform components that enable Data Engineers to deliver data products efficiently.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and observability through automation and engineering best practices.
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to enable seamless deployment of modern data solutions.
