INGRITY is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimise scalable data solutions in Sydney, integrating Google BigQuery, dbt and SQL. You will shape data pipelines, models and quality practices while working with stakeholders across analytics and engineering in a hybrid contract role.

Bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong BigQuery and dbt expertise, and advanced SQL skills to deliver trusted data for analytics and reporting in a modern cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with hands-on delivery of cloud data platforms.
• Strong expertise in Google BigQuery, including SQL development and data warehousing.
• Advanced hands-on experience with dbt, developing and maintaining transformation models.
• Solid data modelling experience, including dimensional modelling and star schemas.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex datasets and transformations.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern ELT/ETL architectures.
• Good understanding of data quality, governance and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google BigQuery and dbt.
• Develop and optimise data models, including dimensional modelling and data warehouse structures.
• Create reusable SQL transformations to support analytics and reporting.
• Implement data quality checks, testing and validation across pipelines and models.
• Improve BigQuery performance, efficiency and cost management.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Apply engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, documentation and automated testing.
