Westpac looks for a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver data-driven solutions for banking reconciliation, leveraging AI, automation, and modern data platforms. You will work across Finance, Technology and Analytics teams to drive accurate interest and fee reconciliations and deliver insightful dashboards.

The role emphasizes SQL-based data engineering, integration with Azure cloud, and building AI-enabled workflows with Power BI analytics and AI agent capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking/financial services environment.
• Understanding of interest accrual methodologies and fee structures.
• Knowledge of reconciliation processes and financial controls.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain data solutions for interest and fee reconciliation.
• Analyze large banking transaction data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Investigate reconciliation exceptions and implement sustainable fixes.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions.
• Build AI agents for exception investigations and reporting.
• Create dashboards and management reports using Power BI/Tableau.
