Job summary

Belron, the Australian arm behind O’Brien Glass, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team and build scalable, cloud-based data solutions.

You will design end-to-end pipelines, improve data quality, and work with Snowflake, dbt, and AWS in a hybrid, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in Data Engineering / BI.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines.
• Experience in cloud-based data environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Develop and maintain data models for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and governance.
• Automate data workflows in a cloud-first environment.
• Troubleshoot and optimise data performance issues.
• Collaborate with BI, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to data platform architecture and best practices.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team and help build scalable, cloud‑based data solutions.

You’ll work across a modern stack, delivering end‑to‑end data pipelines, models, and analytics capabilities, while uplifting data quality and driving automation across the business.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role ideal for someone passionate about modern data engineering, cloud platforms, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

• Power BI or Tableau experience
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps or DataOps practices
• Experience with GitLab or similar platforms
• Domain experience in finance, retail, or supply chain
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Snowflake)
