Job summary

Zurich Insurance Group in Australia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build a cloud-based data foundation, integrating ClearView into Zurich's data ecosystem. You’ll work on a scalable platform delivering trusted data for finance, risk, reporting and analytics, collaborating with business and technology teams to enable future digital initiatives.

• Experience in data warehouse and BI development.
• Data migration, data modelling and data warehouse design.
• End-to-end experience across data modelling, ETL/ELT, reporting and visualization.
• Experience within Agile, Scrum or SAFe delivery frameworks.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, DBT, DevOps, Informatica IICS and AWS.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Join Zurich as a Senior Data Engineer and help build the modern, cloud-based data foundation supporting the integration of ClearView into Zurich’s data and technology ecosystem. This is genuinely exciting and important work where you will learn and develop in a high performing environment.

You will play a key role in strengthening our enterprise data platform, delivering trusted data solutions for finance, risk, regulatory reporting and advanced analytics. Working with business and technology stakeholders, you will help create a unified view of the combined business and a scalable foundation for future digital initiatives.

• Design, develop and maintain robust enterprise data warehouse solutions

You are curious, collaborative and comfortable working across both business and technology teams. You bring a practical approach to solving complex problems and communicate clearly with stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.

To be successful, you will have the following:

• Strong experience in data warehouse and business intelligence development
• Demonstrated capability in data migration, data modelling and data warehouse design
• End-to-end experience across data modelling, ETL or ELT development, reporting and visualisation
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum or SAFe delivery frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, DevOps, Informatica IICS and AWS
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
