Job summary

Zurich is seeking a Head of Product Platform – AI & Data to lead the strategy, roadmap and delivery of our enterprise AI and Data platforms. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you will shape platform capabilities to scale AI and data solutions securely and measurably.

You will lead two platform teams across AI and Data, partner with Technology and business, translate opportunities into scalable enterprise capability, and drive governance, patterns and deployment practices to balance innovation

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience across AI, Data, Analytics or platform engineering owning enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, cloud-native services and platform operating models.
• Experience with AWS and modern AI/Data technologies including Snowflake, DataOps, MLOps, dbt and governance.
• Product mindset with ability to shape roadmaps, balance investment and ensure reusable capabilities.
• Proven track record leading technical teams and aligning engineering with business goals.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

As Head of Product Platform – AI & Data, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, evolution and delivery of Zurich’s enterprise AI and Data platforms. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer within Technology & Transformation, you will shape the platform capabilities that enable our teams to scale AI and data solutions securely, responsibly and effectively, translating technology investment into reusable capability and measurable value.

This is a senior leadership role with genuine breadth across both AI and Data. You will bring a strong product mindset to the platforms, setting the direction and priorities while maintaining enough technical depth to stay close to delivery. You will lead two dedicated platform teams across AI and Data and work across technology and the business to turn emerging opportunities into scalable enterprise capability.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Lead the enterprise AI and Data platform strategy, technical roadmaps and investment priorities, balancing innovation and business demand with resilience, technical debt and long-term sustainability.
• Enable AI and Data product squads with scalable, reusable and self-service capabilities, patterns, controls and accelerators that simplify delivery and adoption across Zurich.
• Drive the evolution of Zurich’s AI platform, including AWS and AgentCore adoption, responsible AI controls, model and agent governance, monitoring and scalable deployment patterns.
• Lead the evolution of the Data platform, including Snowflake, DataOps standards, batch and real-time capabilities, data products and migration from legacy data warehouses.
• Lead and develop two dedicated platform teams across AI and Data, strengthening accountability, engineering maturity, collaboration and continuous improvement while remaining close enough to the technology to support platform development when needed.
• Build strong partnerships across AI and Data Engineering, Digital, Architecture, Security, Risk, Delivery, Product and business leadership, influencing platform investment, sequencing, adoption and enterprise outcomes.

You are a strategic and pragmatic leader who can move comfortably between product thinking, technology and delivery. You build trust and technical credibility, bring different perspectives together and can influence priorities across engineering, product, business and executive stakeholders while staying focused on practical outcomes and measurable value.
In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Significant leadership experience across AI, Data, Analytics, technical products or platform engineering, including experience owning enterprise-scale technology platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, engineering, cloud-native services and enterprise platform operating models, with the technical credibility to challenge designs and guide engineering outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience across AWS and modern AI and Data technologies, ideally including exposure to areas such as Generative and Agentic AI, Snowflake, DataOps, MLOps, dbt, observability and responsible AI.
• A strong product and delivery mindset, with experience shaping technical roadmaps, prioritising investment and balancing business demand with reusable capability, governance and platform sustainability.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and working across engineering practices and business domains to remove barriers, drive adoption and execute strategic priorities.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder leadership and commercial judgement, with the ability to simplify complex technical and risk concepts and influence priorities and investment across a complex organisation.
