Job summary

HCLTech Melbourne is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support specialist for a fixed-term 12-month assignment. The role is on-site, requiring hands-on hardware and facilities management in a data center environment.

As part of the Infrastructure Support Team you will provide hands-on IT support, coordinate with vendors, manage hardware deployments, and drive incident resolution and change activities through the ticketing system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years technical experience in IT support or data center operations.
• On-site hands and eyes support for end-users, third-party vendors and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform data center/server room facilities management for Hands and Feet administration duties.
• Physical support including racking, stacking, cabling and device commissioning.
• Manage components upgrades, swaps, and lights-on verification; reboot/power cycles as needed.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for parts replacement under warranty/maintenance.
• Maintain clean, secure IT rooms and ensure service continuity.
• Support incident resolution, change management, and ticketing workflows.
